NICOLE SMITH

M.A. Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider

Adolescent and adult individual counseling: Anxiety and Depression, Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, and Women’s Issues.

I graduated from Richmont Graduate University in 2009 with my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to that, I graduated with my B.A. in Sociology at Covenant College.

My clients are often seeking to understand themselves better, heal from past hurts, and work towards creating their most meaningful life.  I enjoy working with adolescents and adults with many different issues including: anxiety, depression, family conflict, body image, anger, loneliness, self-harm, grief, women’s issues, and relationship problems.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy to help clients find healthier ways to cope with problems and move forward in their lives. I love using the therapeutic relationship in order to help people see themselves and problems from a new perspective. I want to create a supportive and honest environment to help you accomplish whatever your goals are for therapy. I consider one of my strengths to be that I am authentic in the relationship that I build with my clients.
