I use an interpersonal process approach to therapy which means I understand current problems through the lens of personal history, patterns of thinking, and relational style, but the focus in therapy is on current behavior and relationships. I use some cognitive behavioral therapy approaches and solution-focused approaches when appropriate.
Older adolescents and adults of all ages
Depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, bipolar, panic disorder, grief & loss, adjustment to life transitions, emotional problems associated with chronic illness, and spiritual issues.
When not working I love to go for bike rides in beautiful Chattanooga with my husband, connect with friends over a fine cup of coffee, read a good novel, or travel to one of the places on my “bucket list.”
